Scholarships for Kids (SFK) is a registered charity based in the UK

We are committed to helping young people in some of the world's poorest areas by providing financial assistance that will help with their education.

We have assisted many children living in Kenya's shanty towns by providing primary school scholarships.

We are now focusing our activities on helping some of the world's poorest young people, by offering scholarships that will enable them to obtain technical or vocational training in a subject of their choosing.  Many young people are trapped in poverty as they do not possess the skills to earn a decent wage or to start a business.  Scholarships for Kids works with local companies and training colleges to ensure that wherever possible SFK scholarship students receive work experience.

  • SFK scholarship funding provides an opportunity for young people between the ages of 16-23 to obtain technical and vocational training.
  • We intend to initially offer scholarship funds to English speaking students from Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Myanmar, Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda and Vietnam.
  • The scholarships are intended to provide financial assistance to students who wish to enrol in an accredited technical training or vocational programme.

Examples of technical training and vocational programmes might include but are not limited to

  • Accounting
  • Carpentry
  • Catering
  • Child development
  • Computer technology
  • Electrical engineering
  • Fashion design
  • Graphic design
  • Hairdressing
  • Hospitality
  • Plumbing
  • Tourism
  • Vehicle maintenance

The scholarships are not intended for general academic pursuits, students intending to transfer to four-year colleges, or for graduate degrees.
