Vocational Scholarships
SFK is planning to launch an extensive programme of Vocational Scholarships for unemployed young men and women living in the shanty towns of Kenya. Students will be offered a one year training course to learn trades such as plumbing, carpentry, dress making, car mechanics etc Students will also receive training in computer skills.
The Training courses will be offered in trades where there is a supply of jobs or where students have the opportunity of starting a small business.
We are seeking additional funds so that we are able to accelerate the rate at which we provide the scholarships.
