Scholarships

To contribute to a child's scholarship is a far more personal gift than a simple charitable donation. It is your opportunity to change a child's life by sponsoring their education and, in doing so, to offer them a chance of a future they could only have dreamed of before. Your monies will go towards a single child's schooling costs, and if you like we can keep you updated with their progress.
Currently our scholarships are offered throughout some of the poorest provinces in Kenya. With the help of our local coordinator, working alongside our NGO partner, KISA (the Kenyan Independent Schools Association), we ensure that only those children who will benefit most from your generosity will receive it. To be considered, a child must have the aptitude and drive to gain a good education, but to be selected they must also have found themselves in the direst of situations through lack of funds. Children orphaned by the combined injustices of illness and poverty are the most commonly selected. Even though they have gone through hardships that no child should have to endure, they are still determined to finish their schooling, as their parents would have wanted them to.
To help any one or more of these children, here are a few scholarship options for you to consider.
- A child's entire six years of primary education will cost just £450 in total (or £75 per year)
- A child's entire four years of secondary education cost £660 in total (or just £165 per year)
- You can choose to donate towards one or more years of their scholarship or their entire primary- or secondary-school education, or all of the above
- In addition to their scholarship, you may also choose to help to pay for a child's books, pens, school bag, uniform, shoes and socks, which would be £55 per annum for those at primary school and £65 per annum for those attending secondary school
That being said, we would be delighted with whatever you decide to donate.
If you would like to help, please contribute a scholarship or make a donation towards the education of one of these children.
